Boost Your Dsl Link Speed

Sometimes you'll experience buffering and slow-downs when accessing the Internet, if you're finding this isn't limited only to peak hours then there are a few things you can do to help increase your speed.

Use your master phone socket

You should always use the master phone socket in your home in order to bypass any potential poor quality wiring inside your building. The master socket should be located near the main door (such as the front or back door) and will have a small line across the faceplate. It's typically larger than any other phone sockets in your house.

Do not use any telephone/DSL extension cables

Extension cables are typically made of poor material, which limits the electrical signs needed for your Modem to work properly. This can result in poor speeds, dropouts or both. Feel free to use an electrical extension lead to provide power to the Modem, but never use a telephone extension lead.
